Playwriting
I seek to create work that invites a reflection on our relationship with the Earth. I write theatre that feels big and bold and connected to a vast human history.
Under the mentorship of Kirsten Greenidge, my training as a playwright at Boston University culminated in the production of my full-length play Priscilla. The 2023 staged reading at the Joan and Edgar Booth Theatre, directed by Emma Cahoon, is pictured above.

Dramaturgy
Theatre affords us the opportunity to become itinerant specialists, voraciously researching the world of a play to bring it to life, and then taking that knowledge into the next project.
My scholarly writing is typically grounded in theatre historiography. Themes of public memory, catastrophe, and the physical environment come up often in my work. In 2024, I presented a study of the 1944 Hartford Circus Fire through the lens of performance in fulfillment of the Kilachand Honors College Keystone.
